| Are You Struggling To Get Your New Affiliate Programme Working? |

It’s a fact that for many would-be internet marketers who sign up with affiliate programmes fail. The reason they fail is simple â€" they fail to take consistent action. Note the two keywords in that last sentence. You see, the problem is that at some point or another we find ourselves on the promotional page of some absolutely great affiliate programme. What’s more it’s a programme that will very definitely benefit it’s affiliates in a big way. We read through the material and all those bold headlines and screen dumps of someone else’s huge earnings and get lost in that ethereal dreamy stage where we start envisioning a life of ease and luxury. So what do we do? We sign up. Then what? Well normally we find ourselves led to some kind of membership site where more revealing and encouraging info is displayed and there are links and guides as to what to use in our advertising. There are classified ads, banners, graphics, samples of email ads and sometimes much more. That’s not all we get though. A good affiliate programme such as “The Secret Affiliate Weapon” (http://tinyurl.com/hcurj) will go further and advise you of some recommended advertising resources. After all, if you don’t advertise then you don’t earn and the dream dissolves to nothing more than some affiliate code that lies forgotten in cyberspace somewhere and your inbox receives yet more mail that you delete without thinking. It’s time to wake up! Affiliate programmes do work, but it is not free money, despite those dreamy thoughts you may have been having. As an affiliate you have to work, you have to be organized, you have to monitor progress, you have to be adaptable and cut off that which doesn’t work and capitalize on that which does. What’s more, you have to think! On the plus side, once everything is working, you can set it and almost forget it, but what you must never do with a good programme is give up. Make use of the promotional resources available to you including: Traffic exchange programmes Classified advertising Link exchange Email promotions Useful forum contributions (promotion is in the signature) Email promotional signatures Toolbar promotions such as InstantBuzz and others. The key to it all is quality traffic otherwise known as “targeted traffic”. If you don’t get targeted traffic then you simply will not make any income (or very little) and you will have the satisfaction of being able to prove yourself “right” that the affiliate programme wasn’t really worth pursuing after all. I am no guru in the subject of good affiliate programmes, in fact I still consider myself something of a student, but I have read time and time again that to make affiliate programmes work you need to take consistent action or in other words keep pushing the programme using meaningful traffic resources with your feet firmly planted on the ground whilst you do so!
